'I think Drake is an outstanding entertainer, but Kendrick - his lyrics, his last album was outstanding,' the POTUS says in a recent YouTube Q and A with vlogger Adande Thorne.

AceShowbiz - Now you know whom President Barack Obama would support if Kendrick Lamar and Drake got into a rap battle. In a Q&A hosted by YouTube on Friday, January 15, the POTUS declared himself team Kendrick Lamar when vlogger Adande Thorne asked him about the hypothetical showdown.

"Gotta go with Kendrick," he told Thorne, who's better known in the YouTubeverse as sWooZie. "I'm just saying. I think Drake is an outstanding entertainer, but Kendrick - his lyrics, his last album was outstanding. Best album, I think, of last year."

President Obama siding with Lamar shouldn't come as a huge surprise. Late last year, the commander in chief of the United States revealed that his favorite song of 2015 was the 28-year-old MC's "How Much a Dollar Cost" off the "To Pimp a Butterfly" album.

He also personally met Lamar when the latter visited the Oval Office last October as part of the "Pay It Forward" initiative that promoted mentoring youth across the country. "I sat down with President Barack Obama and shared the same views, topics concerning the inner cities, the problem, the solutions and furthermore embracing the youth," Lamar said in a video of their meeting, which was released online earlier this week.

"Both being aware that mentoring saves lives. Sometimes I reflect and think back: Where would I be if I didn't have the presence of an older acquaintance telling me what's right and what's wrong, telling me the pros and cons of every move I was about to make, telling me the best way to plan success for my future?" he added.
