TV

Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) finally have some long-overdue nookie with the help their new partner, played by Jimmy Kimmel.

AceShowbiz - While it's pretty obvious that there was romantic attraction between Mulder and Scully on "The X-Files", it was barely addressed on the show. Now, the FBI duo finally got some closure to their feelings to each other with the help of their new partner Agent Keith, played by Jimmy Kimmel.

In a sketch played during a Tuesday, January 12 episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!", David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprised their roles as Mulder and Scully respectively. It appeared that they didn't keep updated on the latest technology as they didn't use smartphone.

"This isn't the '90s anymore," Keith said. "We've moved on." He then suggested that Mulder and Scully have sex, because "it's been like 23 years, everybody knows." Not wasting any more time, the two got down to business, ignoring an annoyed alien.

FOX brings back "The X-Files" in a six-episode event series that will launch with a two-night premiere on Sunday, January 24 and Monday, January 25. In anticipation of the show's premiere, the returning and new cast attended a special screening at California Science Center on Tuesday night.
