The USA Network series collected a total of two trophies, including Best Supporting Actor in a Television Series for Christian Slater.

AceShowbiz - "Mr. Robot" has become a big winner at the 2016 Golden Globe Awards. The psychological thriller nabbed the coveted Best Drama Award at the prize-giving event which is still airing live on NBC. The USA Network series won the title over such strong competitors as "Empire", "Game of Thrones", "Narcos" and "Outlander".

Earlier that night, its star Christian Slater had taken the Best Supporting Actor in a Television Series. However, its lead actor Rami Malek failed to bag Best Actor - TV Series, Drama trophy, which went to Jon Hamm for his role on "Mad Men".

The winner of Best Actress in a TV Series - Drama will be announced soon.

73rd Annual Golden Globes is hosted by Ricky Gervais and is held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.
