The second season of the Netflix series will not open against 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' as rumored before.

AceShowbiz - Mark your calendar, "Daredevil" fans! Netflix has officially announced the premiere date of the show's second season and it's not on the same day "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" opens in U.S. theaters as rumored before.

The Marvel series will return for the second installment March 18 with 13 new episodes. The premiere date was revealed along with a new trailer and a poster which feature an image of the Man Without Fear and a bunch of bad guys in Hell's Kitchen.

According to the season two description, "just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell's Kitchen. Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame - Elektra Natchios."

"Bigger problems emerge when Frank Castle, a man looking for vengeance, is reborn as The Punisher, a man who takes justice into his own hands in Matt's neighborhood. Meanwhile, Matt must balance his duty to his community as a lawyer and his dangerous life as the Devil of Hell's Kitchen, facing a life-altering choice that forces him to truly understand what it means to be a hero."

Charlie Cox reprises his role as Matt Murdock a.k.a. Daredevil, joined by other returning stars including Rosario Dawson, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson and Scott Glenn. Jon Bernthal joins the cast as the Punisher and Elodie Yung stars as Elektra.
