'2015 brought my sweet, baby girl but it also took my brother's life. Hoping for no extreme highs and lows this year,' Kristin writes in honor of the New Year.

AceShowbiz - Kristin Cavallari thinks that 2015 was a roller coaster for her as she lost her brother Michael Cavallari shortly after she gave birth to her third child Saylor. In an Instagram post to welcome the New Year, the blonde beauty simply wishes that 2016 won't give her too many dramas.

The "Dancing With the Stars" alum shared on Friday, January 1 a snap of her enjoying dinner with her husband Jay Cutler. "Last night was the second time I've put makeup on in over 5 weeks and left the house (besides the grocery store and taking Cam to school)," read the caption.

Last night was the second time I've put makeup on in over 5 weeks and left the house (besides the grocery store and taking Cam to school). Even though I shed a few tears, it was a really nice night and felt good to be out. 2015 brought my sweet, baby girl but it also took my brother's life. "Even though I shed a few tears, it was a really nice night and felt good to be out," Kristin continued, adding, "2015 brought my sweet, baby girl but it also took my brother's life. Hoping for no extreme highs and lows this year." She concluded, "Happy new year, everyone."

The former actress of "The Hills" gave birth to daughter Saylor on November 23. Kristin excitedly announced on Instagram, "Saylor James Cutler was born today at 132pm!!" Unfortunately, the happy moment didn't last long. A few days later, her brother Michael was reported missing while his car was abandoned off a highway in Uttah.

Two weeks after Michael was reported missing, he was found dead. While the cause of the death is still unknown, a law enforcement source said that hypothermia might have been a contributing factor in his death given that the temperatures in the area are as low as "teens at night."
