AceShowbiz - Mariah Carey's beloved "All I Want for Christmas Is You" has always been all over the place during the holiday season in the past two decades. You can hear it in stores, on the radio and everywhere else on repeat. But can you believe that it's not the most-played holiday song anymore?

The classic has been topping the holiday music charts since its release in 1994. However, the company PlayNetwork that compiles playlists for retails stores reports (via Paste magazine) that The Shin's cover of Paul McCartney's "Wonderful Christmastime" takes the No. 1 spot this year, ending the 20-year reign of Carey's iconic hit which is now sitting at No. 2.

The Shin's take on the tune first appeared on 2012's "Holiday Rules" compilation featuring music from other artists including McCartney himself. Interestingly, the cover bests even the song's original version, which appears on the list at No. 17.

According to PlayNetwork, other holiday songs dominating playlists for stores this year include Christina Aguilera's "Christmas Time", Jack Johnson's "Someday at Christmas", Kelly Clarkson's "Underneath the Tree", Michael Buble's "A Holly Jolly Christmas" and Coldplay's "Christmas Lights".
