AceShowbiz - Meek Mill appeared in a Philadelphia court on Thursday, December 10 for a probation violation. The 28-year-old rapper previously left Philly without obtaining a travel voucher, which would violated the conditions of his probation for a drug and gun conviction in 2009.
According to the court documents, Meek was not permitted to travel without first obtaining a voucher per November 1. It looks like he violated the rules when he went to Los Angeles to attend the 2015 American Music Awards in late November.
Meek thanked everyone who supported him on Instagram, posting a picture of quote which read, "Prayers go up, Blessings come down." He wrote alongside the picture, "I'm actually fighting for my life and freedom ... Something I've been going thru from a case I caught at 19 years old and been on probation since. I am 28 now ... It's funny to see people on the internet laughing and joking about me and my family going thru these things, it's just shows me where the world is at nowadays! But if you are for me prayers up and wish me the best!"
"Thank you to everybody that ever supported and I will continue to b great!" he continued, "If this is my last post know I will continue to remain strong and grow to b a better man and set a example for every minority with a dream that anything is possible! Trials and tribulations and chances makes chances & never lose faith! No matter how things go. PRAYERS UP!!"
According to TMZ, Meek's lawyer told the judge that Nicki Minaj is ready to testify on her boyfriend's behalf and that the couple is "serious" about getting married. "[Nicki] would not marry a criminal or a bum," the lawyer said.
On late Wednesday, the "Anaconda" hitmaker added the fuel to the fire by sharing two photos of a huge diamond ring on her hand. "Now this is what I'm talking about baby. Lol. Love u @meekmill ~ RANG finga whr da rock iiizzzzzzzz," she wrote alongside one of the shots.
