The 'Wide Awake' singer made approximately 2 million dollars at each stop of her Prismatic world tour.

AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift could be the one with the latest album release and tour, but Katy Perry is the richer one. Forbes revealed its highest-paid musician of 2015 list, and Perry towered over others with $135 million.

Perry owed her huge earning on her Prismatic world tour that took over the course of 17 months and visited Australia and Asia in addition to Europe, North America and Latin America. Each city grossed around $2 million. Counting in record sales, publishing, endorsements, and other business ventures, Perry's fortune propelled her from 23rd position to number 1.

Perry appeared on the cover of Forbes under the headline "America's Pop Export". In the interview, she said, "Music has changed. The record is that launching pad for all kinds of other creative branches." Perry also makes it to the list of highest-paid celebrities at number 3, losing it to boxers Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and Manny Pacquiao respectively.

Back to the highest-paid musicians list, One Direction took the second place with $130 million despite losing one member. They pulled in seven-figure grosses at every stop in their 74-date tour. Country star Garth Brooks came in number 3 with $90 million, followed by Swift at number 4 with $80 million. Swift is a contender to top the list next year because her tour is still ongoing and each stop has earned her $4 million approximately.

Swift's boyfriend Calvin Harris is doing fine himself with an estimated $66 million last year, enough to land him at number 6. He was beaten by Justin Timberlake who earned $63.5 million. For the complete list of World's Highest Paid Musicians of 2015, head to Forbes.com.
