The 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' avoids jail time in domestic violence case stemming from his fight with a girlfriend.

AceShowbiz - Nicholas Brendon pleaded guilty to criminal mischief after his arrest in New York. The actor known for his role as Xander on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" entered his plea in Saratoga Springs on Friday, November 4 over a fight with his girlfriend.

Prosecutors say the troubled actor will not go to jail if he completes drug and alcohol counseling and stays out of trouble for one year. Defense attorney Peter Coseo tells The Albany Times Union that his client is working to "get his life back together."

Brendon, 44, was accused of choking his girlfriend in a hotel room. He allegedly took her car keys and smashed her cell phone as well. He was charged with criminal mischief, obstruction of breathing and robbery in the third degree. It's his fourth arrest this year.
