The villain's history as well as Hawkgirl's background story are revealed in the new sneak peek for the upcoming crossover event.

AceShowbiz - When they return in December, The Flash and Arrow are teaming up to fight against a big baddie, Vandal Savage. But who actually Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) is? You can now learn more about this immortal villain in an extended trailer for the crossover event.

Someone describes Vandal Savage as a psycho who has lived in the past 4000 years. Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) says of their mission, "We're chasing down an immortal madman on a rampage against a reincarnated warrior priestess." Cisco (Carlos Valdes) enthuses, "Since when did our lives become an Indiana Jones movie?"

The new sneak peek also shares more details about Hawkgirl a.k.a. Kendra Saunders' (Ciara Renee) history. Turns out she grew up in Wisconsin and she possesses something that Vandal Savage is looking for, although she hasn't realized it yet.

The crossover event begins with "The Flash" episode titled "Legends of Today" that will air Tuesday, December 1 at 8/7c on The CW. In the episode, Vandal Savage arrives in Central City and sets his sights on Kendra Saunders. After Vandal attacks Kendra and Cisco, they turn to Barry for help. Realizing how dangerous Vandal is, Barry takes Kendra to Star City and asks Oliver (Stephen Amell) and team to hide her until he can figure out how to stop Vandal. However, things quickly go from bad to worse when a man with wings a.k.a. Hawkman (guest star Falk Hentschel) shows up and flies off with Kendra. Meanwhile, Harrison (Tom Cavanagh) develops a serum to make Barry run faster and asks Jay (guest star Teddy Sears) to test it out.

The second part, an "Arrow" episode titled "Legends of Yesterday", airs Wednesday, December 2 at 8/7c on the same network. Oliver and Barry Allen take Kendra Saunders and Carter Hall to a remote location to keep them hidden from Vandal Savage while they figure out how to defeat him. Malcolm (John Barrowman) arranges a meeting between Vandal, Green Arrow and The Flash that doesn't go as planned. Meanwhile, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards), Thea (Willa Holland), Diggle (David Ramsey) and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) work with Team Flash to come up with a weapon powerful enough to destroy Vandal Savage.
