The 'Good Wife' actor joins the AMC zombie series as the cruel leader of a group called Saviors.

AceShowbiz - "The Walking Dead" has found a new villain in Jeffrey Dean Morgan. "The Good Wife" actor is officially tapped to play Negan, the ruthless leader of a group called Saviors. He is chosen among candidates that include Timothy Olyphant, Matt Dillon, and Garret Dillahunt.
Dillahunt tweeted earlier this month, "1) It's true, I am a @WalkingDead_AMC fan. I want #Negan. They are looking at some great actors and will make the best choice for the show." He later updated, "2) So surprised and grateful for all the support my public lobbying has received. Thank you. If not #Negan then something else someday! #WD."
Morgan is expected to make his debut as the new antagonist toward the end of the AMC show's current season. He will have a bigger role when he later returns in the next chapter. [SPOILER ALERT!] In the comic books, he murdered Glenn with his trusty baseball bat covered in barbed wire.
