Nygma crosses path with Penguin again, setting in motion the season's theme of 'rise of the villains'.

AceShowbiz - Edward Nygma takes center stage in the preview of "Gotham" season 2 episode 9. His split personality worsens as he enjoys getting away with a murder and gets Penguin's assistance in kidnapping people.
In "Rise of the Villains: A Bitter Pill to Swallow", Nygma and Penguin cross paths again, and Bruce pressures Galavan into handing over the name of his parents' murderer. In an interview with TV Line, Cory Michael Smith talks about the dynamic between his character Nygma and Penguin. "Penguin is not in good health, and the ever-caring Ed finds him at an opportune time. Ed's going to save his life, and where they run into each other is outside the city limits," he said.
Meanwhile, Gordon and Barnes continue cleaning up Gotham, and Gordon comes face-to-face with one of the city's most dangerous hitmen, Eduardo Flamingo. The preview has Barnes telling Gordon about "crossing the lines". The captain believes there is no line, just the law that separates human from the animals.
Raul Castillo guest stars as Flamingo, who in the comic books, has a tendency to eat his victim's faces after he's murdered them. He has skills on all kinds of firearms but his weapon of choice would be a spiked chain.
"Rise of the Villains: A Bitter Pill to Swallow" episode of Gotham will air Monday, November 16 at 8 P.M. ET/PT on FOX.
