AceShowbiz - Lamar Odom turned 36 on Friday, November 6. In honor of his birthday, Khloe Kardashian, according to PEOPLE, arranged a small birthday party at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where the former NBA star is currently hospitalized.
A source told the news outlet that the party wouldn't take place at Lamar's hospital room but in a separate private room. There were a birthday cake, balloons and party hats. "It's something very small and very short but will make him feel amazing," said the source. "Then Khloe will be with him for the rest of the day."
"It's just a very small group of people because Lamar cannot handle too much stimulus, but the doctors are allowing a small group for a short time on his birthday," the source added. The 31-year-old reality TV star reportedly contacted Lamar's former teammates in addition to his best friends who aren't NBA players.
Though the Los Angeles Lakers were on a road trip, Kobe Bryant would send a gift and connect to Lamar via FaceTime. A few Los Angeles Clippers players and Lamar's NBA trainer of 15 years would also come to the hospital to celebrate his birthday.
Lamar's aunt JaNean Mercer, meanwhile, released a statement on Friday in honor of his birthday. "Happy Birthday Lamar! We want to THANK everyone from around the world for your continued prayers and well wishes for Lamar and our family," read the statement. "Every birthday with Lamar is special but today is an especially momentous occasion and we honor GOD for this day and thank HIM for allowing us to spend this time together. Please continue to keep Lamar and our family in prayer as he continues on this miraculous journey."
Lamar's birthday party aside, on Friday, Khloe set the record straight on rumors saying that she underwent plastic surgery. The blonde beauty wrote on her personal website, "I know I looked bomb, LOL! Let me set the record straight, once and for all: I haven't had any fillers or done any plastic surgery. YET, LOL. I don't need work on my face just yet because I have an amazing makeup team. Their contour game is so on point that I feel like I get a nose job every single day, and I love it!"
Nevertheless, Khloe admitted that she would get fillers. "I'm going to get fillers eventually," she confessed. "I want some normalcy to my face because you are supposed to have expressions! You better believe when the time comes, though, I'll be the first to say, 'Let's film this!' "
Khloe also wanted people to credit her workout regime instead of accusing her of doing plastic surgery for her body transformation. "It absolutely discredits two and a half years of constant workouts," she wrote. "Literally blood, sweat and tears. My life is so crazy documented, so it's not like y'all don't see me going to the gym. Just what do you think I'm doing in there? LOL!"
