Noah shares his experience at the hospital when he returns to 'The Daily Show' on Thursday after a day off to undergo emergency appendectomy.

AceShowbiz - Trevor Noah's already back to "The Daily Show", a day after he canceled the taping to undergo emergency appendectomy. Upon his return to the show on Thursday, November 5, he talked about his experience at the hospital and couldn't help mocking the U.S. health-care system.

"I don't know if 'emergency room' is the right term because they make you wait," he said, adding, "I feel like there should be two rooms - a room for people with emergencies and a room for people who can fill out forms."

Noah complained about the fact that he had to fill out paperwork while he was clearly in pain and having trouble staying conscious. "I'm like, 'What more information do you need, other than the fact that I'm dying?' " he described his feeling at the time.

Calling it "a crazy experience," the comedian went on recalling that he was told by a nurse that he couldn't faint in the waiting room. He said, "[The nurse was] like, 'Sir, you can't faint here, sir. You need to go to triage.' [I'm like,] 'Are you telling me where I can and cannot faint?' "

The nurse once again bothered him about how he would pay the surgery. "She was like, 'I don't know - how are you paying for this?' I was like, 'Well, with my life, clearly. Because you're not helping me,' " Noah said. The nurse, however, later recognized Noah. "She goes, 'You know, I've seen the billboards - you're fine. You can pay for this,' " said Noah.

Thanking fans for their support and Comedy Central "for giving me one day off after surgery," Noah also addressed criticisms from fans who accused the network of being racist by giving him only one day off. Noah explained that he wanted to go back to work on Wednesday but was encouraged to take at least one day off. He shared, "The best message [from a fan] I got was, someone said, 'Is it Comedy Central or the cotton fields?' "

In a tweet announcing his return to "The Daily Show", Noah wrote, "Thank you for your love and support. The Daily Show is back on today but I can't stand up." Meanwhile, a message on the show's official Twitter account read, "TONIGHT! The premiere of The Daily Show with Trevor Noah without Trevor Noah's Appendix."
