The briefcase held by Eddie Redmayne's Newt Scamander in the first official picture plays an important part in the Harry Potter prequel movie.

AceShowbiz - A more detailed storyline of Harry Potter prequel "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is unveiled. Warner Brothers originally planned to make a faux documentary about Newt Scamander tracking magical beasties, but J.K. Rowling who is tapped to write the screenplay pitched a better idea.

As seen in the first official pictures, the magizoologist played by Eddie Redmayne is coming to New York with his trusty case and magic wand. According to Entertainment Weekly, "this case is one of those way-way-way-bigger-on-the-inside magical devices, and within are expansive habitats for a collection of rare and endangered magical creatures from Newt's travels around globe."

The movie is going to follow the English wizard as "a variety of his creatures, some quite dangerous ... get out of their case." The story will be set against the backdrop of the American wizarding community who is fearfully hiding from Muggles who are called "No-Maj" in the States.

Directed by David Yates, the film is scheduled for November 18, 2016. It is supported by the likes of Katherine Waterston, Ezra Miller, Colin Farrell, Jon Voight, Ron Perlman, and Dan Fogler.

While the movie is much awaited by Harry Potter fans, many of them are angry after No-Maj was revealed as the American term of Muggle.
