The Mark Twain Prize for American Humor recipient and his girlfriend announce that they are expecting a child in May 2016.

AceShowbiz - Eddie Murphy and his girlfriend Paige Butcher are currently expecting their first child together, according to E! News. A rep for the 54-year-old actor told the news outlet on Wednesday, October 4 that the two "are pleased to announce that they are expecting a child in May [2016]."
While the baby will be Paige's first child, it will be the comedian's ninth child. Eddie has sons 26-year-old Eric Murphy, from his past relationship with Paulette McNeely, and 25-year-old Christian Murphy, from his relationship with Tamara Hood. He has five additional children with his ex-wife Nicole Mitchell. The youngest child he has is 8-year-old Angel Iris Murphy Brown, from his relationship with Spice Girls alum Melanie Brown.
Eddie and Paige began dating four years ago. However, they didn't say much about their relationship to the press. Back in 2013, the Australian actress told Vanity Fair why she didn't create any social media accounts. "I'm in a relationship with a celebrity, so I felt like there's already enough of me out there. I felt like I was giving out too much information. I was giving people too much access. I like to keep as much private as possible now," she said.
Their most recent public appearance was at the Kennedy Center last month when Eddie was presented with the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. While receiving the award, Eddie poked fun at the former Mark Twain award winner, Bill Cosby, who has been accused by many women of sexual misconduct.
