Warner Bros. has released an official logo for the 'Harry Potter' spin-off which follows the adventure of Newt Scamander, the author of a Hogwarts textbook.

AceShowbiz - Following the first look at the filming location of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them", Warner Bros. has unveiled an official logo for the fantasy movie. The embossed metallic letters remind fans of "Harry Potter" logo, but the "Fantastic Beasts" logo features a different font type.

"From J.K. Rowling Wizarding World," so reads the tagline in the logo. What probably attracts people the most is the "S" letter which looks like a serpent or dragon. The logo also looks dark with fog surrounding the letters.

Eddie Redmayne stars as Newt Scamander, the "magizoologist" who writes the titular textbook, which Harry and his pals read in Hogwarts. Set 70 years before the events in "Harry Potter", the upcoming film follows Newt on his journey to New York to discover and document magical creatures.

Newt meets lots of new characters along the way, including the ones played by Ezra Miller, Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, Dan Fogler, Colin Farrell, Samantha Morton, Ron Perlman, Jon Voight, Carmen Ejogo and Gemma Chan.

Rowling wrote the screenplay while David Yates, who helmed the last four "Harry Potter" movies, is back to direct. The "Harry Potter" spin-off is scheduled for a U.S. release on November 18, 2016.
