Jolie says she wants the audience to think by themselves about whether or not the couple was able to make 'By the Sea' if their relationship is as portrayed in the movie.

AceShowbiz - Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt clear up any rumors saying that their marriage is in trouble. In a rare joint interview which will air on "Today" show on Monday, November 2, Jolie says that their relationship is very stable despite fight scenes in their new movie "By the Sea".

"I'm counting on the audience to know that if it was close to us at all, we could never make this film," Jolie says of their relationship. "It's because we're actually very, very stable and these aren't our issues." In a new trailer of the movie, tears, screams and slaps between the couple appear dominantly.

Jolie even reveals the outpouring support she gets from her husband. "I knew through the surgeries that he was on my side and that this wasn't something where I was going to feel less of a woman, because my husband wasn't going to let that happen," Jolie tells host Tom Brokaw.

The 40-year-old actress underwent a double mastectomy in 2013 after she learned that she had a high risk of getting breast cancer. Earlier this year, she had surgery to remove her ovaries and fallopian tubes because of similar increased risk of getting ovarian cancer.

Pitt calls Jolie's decision to undergo the surgeries "scary." "Whatever's got to be done to keep the family together, and keep the family together as long as possible is gonna be done," the "Fury" actor says. "This was her charge, no question. It's a scary decision. There's many things that can go wrong and go many different directions."

Jolie says that she made the "scary decision" because she thought it was right for her. "You have to just make the choices you make in life," Jolie says. "I made the choices I made because I believed they were right for me."

During the interview, Jolie recalls the moment when she thought she should be a more "conventional" wife. She says that her husband wanted to take a course of cooking after he learned that she's not good at cooking. "After three months [of marriage], he says, 'Honey, I should learn how to cook.' " Jolie recalls. Pitt then jokes, "Yeah, she's no business in the kitchen."
