The comedienne claims the British singer's latest hit is based on their conversation, which is interrupted by a call from Drake.

AceShowbiz - Adele's new song "Hello" has become a hit just days after it's unleashed and now Ellen DeGeneres wants to take credit for it. In a clip she played for her show's audience on Thursday, November 29, the host of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" claims the song's inspired by the conversation she had with the British singer.

In the clip, which spoofs "Hello" music video, Ellen receives a call on a brick phone from Adele. Due to bad connection, the comedienne can't hear Adele clearly and she almost loses her patience because Adele doesn't get straight to the point.

"It might be easier to hear you if you stop playing that piano," Ellen says while munching on some potato chips. "Seriously, speed it up. I'm kind of in a hurry. Just get to the point." Their conversation is then interrupted by a call from Drake, as part of his "Hotline Bling" video is played.

After Ellen hangs up the phone, another person calls and he's none other than Lionel Richie, who had his hit years ago with his own "Hello". But Ellen seems to get disappointed when Lionel asks, "Is it me you're looking for?"
