AceShowbiz - It's still two months away until the year ends but Ryan Seacrest has already announced the first official musical guest for his annual New Year show. Carrie Underwood is tapped for "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest".
The "American Idol" season 4 winner is expected to showcase her new song and some of her biggest hits live from Times Square in New York on December 31. Stacy Ferguson and Jenny McCarthy will return as correspondents to ring in 2016.
"Hey @carrieunderwood I hope u have long johns and good ear muffs.. I'll see u in times square for @OfficialNYRE 2016!" Seacrest broke the news on Twitter. "If there's one girl who will make sure our clock don't stop on new year's eve, it's @carrieunderwood ;)"
