At the first time the 'Our Brand Is Crisis' actress met George, she was with someone whom she 'would have liked to' have had as her 'boyfriend' and the actor tried to be their matchmaker.

AceShowbiz - Sandra Bullock recalled funny moment when she met George Clooney for the first time. The 51-year-old told Access Hollywood at the "Our Brand Is Crisis" premiere in L.A. on Monday, October 26 that George played matchmaker while he was drunk.
"It was just pretty funny... he was drunk," Sandra recounted as she laughed. "I know, shocker - the man owns a tequila company. Anyhow, he was doing Buddy Hackett impressions at a friend of ours' house."
The "Gravity" actress said that she was with someone whom she "would have liked to" have had as her "boyfriend at the time." George then played the perfect wingman. "When I came out after I spent time with George, George went to him and said, 'If you don't marry her, I will,' " she recalled.
However, Sandra set the record straight on George's threat to the said guy as saying, "George is not gonna marry anybody except for Amal [Clooney]. He was waiting 30 years to do that." On the other hand, the actress was in relationship with that guy for years after George's quip. "But that was sort of the thing that sort of got him to just hang with me, the boyfriend," she added. "So we were together for four years after that, thanks to George," she said.
"Our Brand Is Crisis" tells a story about Jane Bodine (Bullock), a political consultant who retired after a humiliating setback. Besides Sandra, the cast members include Joaquim de Almeida, Anthony Mackie, Scoot McNairy, Ann Dowd, Reynaldo Pacheco and Dominic Flores. The film is set to be released in the U.S. on October 30.
