Justin Theroux in Talks to Replace Chris Evans in 'Girl on the Train'

The 'Leftovers' actor is expected to play an on-screen ex of Emily Blunt's character in the adaptation of Paula Hawkins' bestseller.

AceShowbiz - Justin Theroux is eying a role in "The Girl on the Train (2017)" from "The Help" helmer Tate Taylor. According to The Hollywood Reporter, "The Leftovers" actor is in negotiations to fill in the vacant spot left by Chris Evans in the adaptation of Paula Hawkins' best-selling novel of the same name.

The husband of Jennifer Anniston will join the cast members that includes Emily Blunt, Rebecca Ferguson (II), Jared Leto, Haley Bennett, and Edgar Ramirez. Blunt is attached to play the lead female and Theroux is tapped as her ex-husband.

The story revolves around a woman who spends her daily train ride fantasizing about the seemingly perfect couple living in a house that she passes. She later finds herself involved in a mystery revolving around the married couple. The film is planned for 2017 release.
