The tabloid claimed in its September cover story that Blake was headed to rehab due to drinking problems he had after his split from Miranda Lambert.

AceShowbiz - Blake Shelton is suing InTouch Weekly over rehab claims. The "Sangria" hitmaker filed a lawsuit against the tabloid on Monday, October 19 over a cover story claiming that he was headed to rehab due to drinking problems he had after his split from Miranda Lambert.

According to the lawsuit against In Touch publisher, Bauer Publishing Co., the tabloid has repeatedly published false stories about Blake and his split from Miranda. "Blake Shelton has had enough," the lawsuit states, "Mr. Shelton is not in rehab and has no plans to go to rehab. To be clear: Mr. Shelton has not hit rock bottom."

The suit says Blake has sought a retraction of the story but received no response. The "God Gave Me You" singer is seeking at least $2 million in damages and an injunction which would prevent InTouch from repeating allegations in the disputed story.

A representative for InTouch hasn't commented on the issue yet. The tabloid published the rehab story in its September issue along with headline "REHAB for Blake. He Finally Hits Rock Bottom." The outlet alleged Blake was drinking heavily and his actions contributed to his divorce from Miranda.
