The wife of Ozzy Osbourne follows Hayden Panettiere's lead by opening up about her own struggle with post-natal depression.

AceShowbiz - In the wake of Hayden Panettiere's decision to enter rehab after giving birth to her first child, Sharon Osbourne revealed her own struggle with postpartum depression. The mother of three has been open about her battle with depression, but it's the first time she talked about suffering from post-natal depression.

"I did suffer from it with one of my pregnancies, but I was suffering from depression anyways," she said. "The depression is so dark, you feel like you're in a black fog the whole time and you just cannot cope. And you get to a point where you don't realize what you've got with the baby and you're just so dark and distraught and alone and it's the loneliest feeling in the world."

"My husband was away for six weeks after I gave birth, so I was on my own," Sharon added on her show "The Talk", referring to Black Sabbath's frontman Ozzy Osbourne. "My pediatrician knew I was having trouble and he helped me. But it's the loneliest place in the world. Horrible."

"You've got this gift from God and it's a magnificent thing, the best thing in your life, but you cannot enjoy this," the 63-year-old momager went on. "You feel inadequate to be a mother. You feel like, 'I'm no good, I don't deserve this. I can't cope.' "

Fellow co-host, Julie Chen, then shared Sara Gilbert's own battle that led to the creation of "The Talk". "We're in our sixth season now, and technically - and you can correct me if I'm wrong Sara - but you spoke about the blues you went through when your daughter was born, and you did get help," she opened up.

Julie continued, "You joined a support group of moms who were dealing with the same exact problem. Moms who had just welcomed in a second baby to the family. And you found help and you said 'you know, I look forward to those therapy sessions with other second time moms who were feeling blue and feeling I can't handle life' ... out of something that was hard in your life, you developed 'The Talk', which is why were are here, on every day."

She added, "People who have never experienced it simply cannot understand it ... they need help, women need to know there's nothing to be ashamed of, you're not alone, it is a medical condition and there is help ..."
