'John and I are so happy to announce that we are pregnant :),' Chrissy announces the exciting news alongside a sweet black-and-white photo of John putting his hand on her tummy.

AceShowbiz - Chrissy Teigen is finally pregnant with her first child after she revealed on "FABLife" that she and her husband John Legend had fertility struggles. The 29-year-old model took to Instagram on Monday, October 12 to share the exciting news.

The Sports Illustrated model posted a sweet black-and-white photo of her and John. In the said photo, Chrissy was lying on a sofa and her legs were on John's lap. The "All of Me" singer who was sitting next to her put his hand on Chrissy's tummy. The two didn't look at the camera but showed delighted facial expressions.

Chrissy wrote a lengthy note alongside the photo to announce her pregnancy. "John and I are so happy to announce that we are pregnant :)," she wrote. "As many of you know, we've been trying to have a baby for a while now. It hasn't been easy, but we kept trying because we can't wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family."

"We're so excited that it's finally happening. Thank you for all your love and well wishes," the model wrote, before cheekily adding, "I look forward to all the belly touching! Xx." Regarding her pregnancy, an insider told E! News, "Chrissy and John are so happy. It's not been the easiest for Chrissy, but they knew when the right time came they would be pregnant."

Because Chrissy previously experienced fertility struggles, she's reportedly paying attention to her health seriously during the pregnancy. "Chrissy is feeling great and enjoying every second being pregnant. She is taking good care of her body and making sure her and their baby are healthy and feeling good," the insider said. "John has been a huge support for Chrissy during this time. He could not be more excited until their baby comes into this world."

In an episode of her daytime talk show "FABLife" last month, Chrissy confessed, "I will say, honestly, John and I are having trouble." She then explained what effort the couple had made thus far, "We've seen fertility doctors, and then once you open up about all those things to other people you start learning that a lot of other people in your life are seeing these people, and they have this shame about it."
