'Walking Dead' Debuts Season 6 at MSG, Sets Date for Midseason Return

AceShowbiz - "The Walking Dead" kicked off the much-awaited sixth season on Friday, October 9 in New York City ahead of the TV premiere. The cast and crew took the stage at Madison Square Garden for a special early screening with fans who won the tickets via giveaways and sweepstakes.

Norman Reedus arrived on a motorcycle. He was joined at the event, held as part of NY Comic-Con, by fellow cast members like Andrew Lincoln, Chandler Riggs, Steven Yeun, Austin Nichols, Ross Marquan, Danai Gurira, and creator Robert Kirkman.

The cast also sat down with host Yvette Nicole Brown. Over 15,000 people attended the event during which AMC revealed midseason return. The show starts the new season on TV October 11 and then returns from its traditional midseason break in the winter on February 14.

Jon Bernthal who was killed off at season 2 also made a surprise appearance at the MSG. "Things sure have changed since back in the day," the actor joked. "You're all wearing tuxedos and sh*t." He was in the Big Apple to promote his Netflix show "Daredevil".
