Justin Bieber Responds to One Direction's Same-Day Album Release

The 21-year-old pop star slams the British band for releasing their album on the same day as him, saying that it's only a strategy.

AceShowbiz - To share the same album release date with other hitmakers appears to be a serious problem for musicians. The same thing happened to Justin Bieber, who recently found out that One Direction would release their album, "Made in the A.M.", on November 13, the same day Bieber drops his fourth studio album, "Purpose".

Rumors are swirling that the "Where are You Now" hitmaker shades the British band for announcing the release date of their album. It seems like the shade is real as he recently sat down with a New Zealand radio station and implicitly suggested that One Direction actually needed his help to promote their album.

"[They're] not really going on the road much, but we're talking about them now, so it gives them some promo, right?" Bieber said. He also said that it was only a strategy for the band to make their upcoming album become even more popular and insisted that it was him who first announced the date. "So, that's probably why they did it. I think it was strategy on their part because my release date was first. But, whatever. It's whatever. It's gonna be fun. I'm excited to see what happens," he added.
