In a pre-taped sketch for 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!', the 'Bourne' actor and the comedian attend a couples therapy in an attempt to work out their on-air beef which began more than a decade ago.

AceShowbiz - After years of saying, "Apologies to Matt Damon, we ran out of time," Jimmy Kimmel said it no more on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!". On Monday night, September 28, the comedian and the actor tried to work out their long-decade rivalry in a hilarious couples therapy sketch.

In an attempt to be a guest on the show, Damon dressed as Dr. Phil McGraw complete with a fake bald head. "You said that I could be on the show today, when we were in therapy," he argued. Kimmel said, "I said I would try and get you on the show tonight. We have a very, very busy night."

The host then showed their pre-taped counseling session with a couples therapist. "He promised me over a decade ago that I was gonna be able to be a guest on the show," Damon opened up about what caused their longstanding feud. "I come and I wait, every night."

Kimmel claimed, "I try to get him on the show. We have a one-hour show every night. We have other guests -- which he doesn't care about, obviously -- I have a monologue to do, we have a band, sometimes we have important commercials to run..."

The two brought up Damon's movie "We Bought a Zoo" and the actor boasted about the time he "took over the show and busted the ratings." Kimmel confessed about their 2013 incident in which Damon hijacked the show, "I was terrified, it felt like duck tape suffocating me."

When asked if there's something they liked about each other, Kimmel mentioned Damon's friends, including Ben Affleck. They eventually ended the session with a friendly hug, which soon turned violent.

Earlier on the show, Damon interrupted Kimmel's monologue when the latter joked about water being found on Mars. When the big screen behind the host displayed an image of Mars, the star of "The Martian" crept up behind him with a sign proclaiming that he would be coming on the show.
