Demi Lovato's Grandfather Dies, Singer Pens Touching Tribute to Him

'I can't even begin to imagine a world without my Papa but I know one day we'll meet again and that's what keeps me going,' the singer says alongside a photo of her late grandfather.

AceShowbiz - Demi Lovato is mourning the death of another family member. After her puppy Buddy was killed in a "tragic accident" a few months ago, the singer has now lost her grandfather who passed away at the age of 88.

She shared the sad news with her fans via a touching tribute she posted on Instagram on Monday, September 28. The 23-year-old star uploaded a photo of her late "Papa" and her dog, and wrote alongside it, "My two favorite Buddy's are now playing in Heaven."

"My heart is absolutely broken and I can't even begin to imagine a world without my Papa but I know one day we'll meet again and that's what keeps me going," she continued and added, "I hate writing this... But RIP Papa... I miss you so much already. I love you. Please keep my Mimaw in your prayers."

This summer, Lovato went through difficult times when Buddy which she shared with boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama died after being attacked by a coyote in their backyard. "This has been the most painful week of my life but Wilmer and I had so much love and support, I've been able to stay strong and will continue to get through this difficult time," she said when thanking her fans for helping her deal with the loss.
