The British beauty robs her controlling and verbally abusive boyfriend in the 'Thelma and Louise'-themed video directed by Emil Nava.

AceShowbiz - After releasing "On My Mind" last week, Ellie Goulding returned on Monday, September 21 with the new single's official music video. Directed by Emil Nava, the visuals centers on the British beauty as she deals with a controlling and verbally abusive boyfriend.

At first, Goulding just sits still and does nothing but look straight into the camera while her man continuously yells at her. Later, she teams up with another girl to seek revenge against the dude. The two ladies ride horses as they invade a casino he owns, tie him up and steal his money.

Produced by hitmaker Max Martin, "On My Mind" is the first single to be lifted off Goulding's upcoming album "Delirium". The follow-up to 2012's "Halcyon" and its re-issue, 2013's "Halcyon Days", is set to hit the stores on November 6.

Following its arrival, fans speculated that the song was inspired by Ed Sheeran, whose own single "Don't" was allegedly about Goulding cheating on him with his friend. The 28-year-old blonde, however, has made it clear that she doesn't sing about anyone on the track.

"I'm sorry to all the people that want it to be about someone - it's not, it's like a myth," she recently told MTV News. "I like guys with tattoos, my boyfriend has tattoos... but I don't mind. People can read into it however they want. It's fun to do that, I would do that too."
