The comedian is plotting his return to the big screen as he is in negotiations to star in the New Line comedy, joining Cube and Day.

AceShowbiz - Tracy Morgan was noticeably absent from film industry after injured in a fatal car crash in June 2014. It seems like the 46-year-old comedian will soon return to the big screen as TheWrap reports that Morgan is in negotiations to join the cast of New Line's upcoming comedy "Fist Fight".

Morgan will join Ice Cube and Charlie Day in the school-themed comedy. The story follows two teachers (Cube and Day) who work in a broken-down school system and wind up in an epic fist fight. If Morgan really signs the deal, he will play the school's coach.

"Breaking Bad" alum Dean Norris is also in the cast, playing the school's principal, while "22 Jump Street" star Jillian Bell will play a guidance counselor. Richie Keen is directing "Fist Fight" with a script written by Evan Susser and Van Robichaux. The film is being produced by Shawn Levy, Max Greenfield and John Rickard.

Morgan's last film credit was Chris Rock's "Top Five", which he filmed prior to the accident. Morgan previously collaborated with Cube in 2008's comedy "First Sunday" and 2005's "Are We There Yet?". Morgan was recently announced as the host of the October 17 episode of "Saturday Night Live".
