Director Paul Feig took to Twitter to announce that the production of the all-female 'Ghostbusters' reboot was officially wrapped.

AceShowbiz - Paul Feig has been very active in giving updates about his upcoming movie "Ghostbusters (2016)", especially when the production was still ongoing. After filming the movie for the past few months, the director announced that the principal photography was officially wrapped on Saturday, September 19.

Feig posted a photo on Twitter which features three Ghosbuster-themed Funko figures along with a LEGO ghost. "It's a wrap on Ghostbusters!!!" Feig wrote. The photo was taken in front of New York City fire station, the building that served as headquarters in the 1984 original film starring Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and Harold Ramis.

Feig recently revealed that Hudson joined the crew on the last day of production. "Thanks to the great @Ernie_Hudson for joining us on our last day of production. He is a class act and an incredibly talented and funny man," tweeted Feig.

The new version of "Ghostbusters" centers on Abby Bergmanone (Melissa McCarthy) and Erin Gilber (Kristen Wiig), who collaborate on a book to prove that ghosts are real and exist among human. When ghosts invade Manhattan, they reunite with two other wranglers (Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon) to hunt down the ghosts. Chris Hemsworth, Michael K. Williams and Neil Casey are also in the cast of the film which will arrive in U.S. theaters on July 15, 2016.
