Many of the actresses flaunted their figures in mermaid gowns but it was the 'Modern Family' star who stole the attention in her form-fitting silver sequined dress.

AceShowbiz - Sofia Vergara was among the lookers to walk down under the heat on the red carpet of 67th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday, September 20 in Los Angeles. The "Modern Family" star dazzled in a form-fitting silver sequined mermaid-style gown and wore her best accessory, Joe Manganiello.
Vergara's co-stars were equally stunning at the event. Sarah Hyland kicked off the red carpet in a plum fit-and-flare gown with off-the-shoulder neckline. Ariel Winter, who came with beau Laurent Claude Gaudette, flaunted her figure in form-fitting bright red mermaid gown. Julie Bowen went all black with her choice of yet another mermaid gown.
Emma Roberts easily got one of the best looks of the night in her blush pink custom-made Jenny Packham gown with plunging neckline. Meanwhile, Julianne Hough and Taraji P. Henson showed how black dresses could be edgy with their amazing see-through ensembles. But it was Lady GaGa who really thrived in black. The usually extravagant "American Horror Story: Hotel" actress dressed down in one-shoulder gown by her stylist Brandon Maxwell and wore her blonde hair in a classic style.
The red carpet also hosted some unusual looks from Claire Danes and Heidi Klum. Danes appeared in a chain-strap Prada gown. She told host Ryan Seacrest she was lucky to wear anything at all after flying straight in from Berlin. "It leapt off the rack and it fit. It's a little rockstar-esque - it's Prada," she said.
Klum seemed like she had a little too much going on with her bright yellow Atelier Versace dress. The "Project Runway" host was loving it anyway, writing below her Instagram pic of the dress, "Thank you @versace_official and @lorraineschwartz for all of the glitz and glamour!!"
The 2015 Primetime Emmy Awards is aired live by FOX from the Nokia Theatre L.A. on September 20 at 8:00 P.M. ET. Temperature rose to 100 degrees outside, prompting many of the stars to complain of the heat and hardly stay long on the red carpet.
