Sony's 'Ghostbusters' Adds Original Cast Ernie Hudson
Movie

The original Winston Zeddemore was seen filming on the last day of shoot but his role in the Paul Feig reboot was still unknown.

AceShowbiz - Another former "Ghostbuster" will pop up in the new reboot. Ernie Hudson, who played Winston Zeddemore in the original films, is to appear in Sony's "Ghostbusters (2016)" although his role is yet known.

Hudson was seen on the film's set on the last day of the shooting on Saturday, September 19. Sony declined to give details of his involvement. Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd are also making a cameo in the Paul Feig movie. The former won't return as his original role Dr. Peter Venkman, so there's a chance Hudson will play a totally new character as well.

Hudson previously was against the idea of having all-female version of "Ghostbusters". He told Britain's Telegraph, "If it has nothing to do with the other two movies, and it's all female, then why are you calling it Ghostbusters? I love females. I hope that if they go that way at least they'll be funny, and if they're not funny at least hopefully it'll be sexy. I love the idea of including women, I think that's great. But all-female I think would be a bad idea. I don't think the fans want to see that."

But he later changed his tone after knowing that Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon would be in the line-up. "Four fiercely funny, foxy, females busting ghosts ... phenomenal!" he told THR.

"Ghostbusters" will hit theaters on July 15, 2016.
