Daisy's (Chloe Bennet) new darker costume is completed with gauntlets which will help control her super powers, particularly her earthquake powers.

AceShowbiz - When "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." returns for a third season, Chloe Bennet's Daisy Johnson is not only getting a new hairdo, but also a new costume. ABC has now debuted a look at Daisy's upgraded suit via LA Times.

"It was really, really fun to put it on," says Bennet of her character's costume that will look darker than before. "With the inner geek in me -- and growing up with six brothers -- I was never really interested in being the princess. I was more into being someone who kicked ... and was a superhero. So, that was a dream come true."

Daisy's new costume was designed by costume designer Ann Foley, who says the suit is "about strength." She adds, "She feels very empowered in it.... That's what was important to me, that she felt empowered to me. I wanted to stay true to some of the designs I saw in the comics. In the style lines, I wanted to pay a little bit of a tribute to her tactical ability from last season, but we also incorporated the Quake symbol into her gauntlets and on the back of her suit."

Daisy's powers allow her to move objects and generate massive amounts of force. The gauntlets will help control her power in addition to giving aesthetic appeal. "It's only something that Daisy would have and is specific to her earthquake powers," Bennet says.

Foley additionally reveals that the change of dynamic among the team will reflect on their costumes. "I think you're definitely going to see a change in their costumes in season 3," she says. "With the events at the end of season 2 now, you're going to see another shift, and the costumes will reflect a shift for everybody."

In season 3, Daisy is assigned by Coulson (Clark Gregg) to assemble a new team of super humans. Some new pictures from the third season tease the hunt for Joey (Juan Pablo Raba), who is struggling to harness his newfound abilities.

While Coulson "is again trying to put the pieces of his once revered organization back together, ... bigger threats loom ahead, setting the stakes even higher for the Agents, including the spread of Terrigen, an alien substance that unlocks superhuman abilities in select individuals; the emergence of new Inhumans who cannot yet control nor understand their powers; the rise of a new government organization that will go toe-to-toe with S.H.I.E.L.D.; the unknown properties of the massive alien Kree monolith, which has taken one of their own; and the constant threat of a rebuilt Hydra terrorist organization under S.H.I.E.L.D. traitor Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), who is making it his personal mission to take down Coulson and S.H.I.E.L.D."

The new season premieres Tuesday, September 29 at 9 P.M. on ABC.
