The Alphabet dismisses speculation that they're trying to mute the conservative voice of the 'Fuller House' actress during the heated discussion about controversial Kentucky clerk Kim Davis.

AceShowbiz - ABC responds to controversy surrounding Candace Cameron Bure's absence from the heated discussion of Kim Davis on the premiere of "The View" new season. The Alphabet denies allegation that they tried to mute her conservative voice by leaving her out of the debate.

"We had her on for 'segment three' because she's not going to be on [regularly] for a couple of weeks," a representative for the network explains the situation to Page Six. "We want to build consistency to let viewers know who would be on for tomorrow."

Kim Davis became talk of the town after she was jailed for refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples. When the "View" panel talked about the controversial Kentucky clerk, viewers were curious to hear Candace's opinion since she's a Republican. Unfortunately, she didn't show up until halfway through the show.

When she finally appeared, Candace only addressed her hectic schedule, saying that she wouldn't be able to appear on "The View" regularly until finishing "Fuller House". She didn't touch the Kim Davis discussion either when taking to Twitter to share her excitement about her first appearance on the show.

The new season features Whoopi Goldberg as a moderator and Joy Behar, Raven-Symone, Michelle Collins, and Paula Faris as co-hosts along with Candace Cameron Bure. During the premiere, Goldberg joked about the panel shakeup, "Where are the pictures of the faces? We used to have faces because people stuck around. C'mon yall!" Behar quipped, "Well, this is in case they want to get rid of any of us. They can just pull this off!" while pointing to the stickers on the said mugs.

The ladies are next expected to have a discussion about Donald Trump as the Republican presidential hopeful is scheduled to call in to the show this Thursday, September 10, the same day Joe Biden is set to visit CBS' "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert".
