'Krampus' Frightens Everyone in International Trailer

A clash of a dysfunctional family on Christmas Day has unleashed the wrath of the demonic being who is intent on punishing the wicked.

AceShowbiz - An international trailer for horror movie "Krampus" has arrived online. Taking place on a Christmas Day which lacks festive spirit, the movie delivers an idea that a Christmas night can be harrowing and dreadful.

The trailer starts with a Christmas atmosphere where a family gathers and has dinner together. Unfortunately, they spend the holy night through an unlikely way as they clash with each other. Disillusioned with the condition, young Max (Emjay Anthony) turns his back on Christmas. The night eventually takes a dark turn when Krampus, a demonic force of ancient evil, comes and frightens everyone in town.

"Krampus" is based on an old European folklore. It is the name of an anthropomorphic figure who punishes children who have bad behaviors during the Christmas season. Michael Dougherty serves behind the lens with a script he penned alongside Todd Casey and Zach Shields. Dougherty also produces the movie along with Alex Garcia, Jon Jashni and Thomas Tull.

Anthony is joined by the likes of Adam Scott, Toni Collette, Allison Tolman, David Koechner and Stefania Owen in the cast. The mythology-based movie is slated for a U.S. release on December 4.
