Breezy takes to Twitter to say that he was neither booked for the show nor informed about a gig that he supposedly canceled.

AceShowbiz - Chris Brown has cleared up a misunderstanding about his supposedly canceled performance at an Atlanta gay pride event this weekend. Responding to allegations that he bailed on the show, the R&B star has stated that he was never officially scheduled to perform at the Atlanta Black Gay Pride Weekend.

Melissa Scott, the founder of Traxx Girl who hosted the event, told "Georgia Voice" that she was "baffled" the artist didn't show up as expected. She said, "I think it's unfortunate for mainstream artists to take people's money with the complete prior knowledge of knowing what the event is and being very clear about what the event is about. ... You know it's gay pride. You knew you agreed when you sent the contract in and took the money."

She added, "I was being told to take [Brown's] image down because he looks a little feminine in that image - an image that he took." Scott went on claiming that Brown's team demanded she make sure that there were no gay men in the nightclub. "I had to send text messages of pictures of my crowd to say, 'there's nothing but girls in here man,' " she said.

Brown allegedly refused to enter the building when he noticed there were a "handful of gay men" inside the club. Luckily, Fetty Wap was just 5 minutes away from the venue and he agreed to perform at the gay pride event despite being called at the last minute.

On Monday, September 7, Breezy took to his Twitter to explain the situation from his point of view. "I wasn't aware or informed of a show I supposedly cancelled. I have nothing but love and respect for the LGBT COMMUNITY," he wrote.

The "Loyal" hitmaker also said to disappointed fans, "The show was never confirmed by any of my people. So I apologize if the fans wanted me there." He added, "I honestly wasn't booked for the show. Hopefully in the future we can do it right. Much love LGBT."
