The 'Stay with Me' hitmaker posts online a picture of his hand with a ring bearing the logo of the Ernst Stavro Blofeld-led organization.

AceShowbiz - It seems that Sam Smith is tapped to sing a soundtrack for the new James Bond movie after all. Despite his previous denial, the British singer posted a picture of his hand with a ring bearing the octopus symbol of Spectre, a crime organization in the 007 universe which also becomes the title of the new film.

No caption is attached to the picture uploaded on Instagram and Twitter. There is no official word from the movie's producers or studio either but rumors suggest the theme song will be unveiled tomorrow. If it's true, Sam will follow the footsteps of Paul McCartney, Madonna, Tina Turner, and Adele among others.

Back in July, Sam denied his involvement in the soundtrack. "People seem to think I'm doing it but I have no idea what's going on. I'm being deadly serious. I think I would know by now," he said back then.

Daniel Craig is reprising his role as the charismatic 007 spy agent in the next installment. Directed by Sam Mendes who helmed "Skyfall", it will hit U.S. theaters on November 6. Lea Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Dave Bautista, Christoph Waltz, and Monica Bellucci are among the cast.
