AceShowbiz - Months after her top secret wedding to actor Ian Somerhalder, Nikki Reed shared to the October 2015 issue of Brides some photos from the big day. She, moreover, spilled the beans on the vibe, dress, as well as music featured on the nuptials.
27-year-old Reed tied the knot with Somerhalder in a hush hush ceremony they staged in Topanga Canyon, California. "We wanted a Louisiana backyard-barbecue feel, with food stations and a dance floor for our closest friends and family," recalled the screen beauty, adding she and Somerhalder wanted the wedding to be "small, intimate, and about the two of us" and "was all about the food, the dancing, and the love."
The couple thus had live music from soul singer Ellis Hall for the summer wedding, about which Reed stated, "Live music is so important to us, and we couldn't imagine anyone but Ellis there with us." And talking about her wedding dress, the actress couldn't stop gushing about its designer Claire Pettibone. "Claire [Pettibone] was an absolute dream to work with," she told Brides, adding, "Not only is she an amazing designer, but she has the most wonderful energy. We were on the same page from the moment we met." Brides' October issue will be on newsstands September 8.
Reed and Somerhalder got engaged in January this year after six months of dating. They later got married on April 26. The marriage was the first for Somerhalder and the second one for Reed who has previously wed Paul McDonald back in 2011.
