MTV's bosses reportedly loved the rapper's 12-minute speech at Sunday's VMAs, which included a shot at the network and his presidential bid announcement, and wanted him to host next year's event.

AceShowbiz - Kanye West is reportedly considered to host the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards. According to TMZ, MTV's bosses really loved the rapper's lengthy speech he delivered while accepting the Vanguard Award at the Sunday, August 30 ceremony, and apparently thought it'd be interesting to have him host next year's event.
The site said that 'Ye was supposed to have only two minutes to accept his trophy at last weekend's show, but MTV ended up telling people in the control room not to cut the speech which interestingly also included a shot at the network and awards shows in general.
West eventually concluded his 12-minute speech with announcement that he's running for president in 2020. TMZ additionally reports that after he left the stage, an MTV honcho followed him to his dressing room and gushed about what he'd said.
While there's still no official word if he's really hosting the 2016 MTV VMAs, West is currently expected to drop his long-awaited new album "SWISH". The "Yeezus" follow-up has been slated to come out this year, but it has yet to have an exact release date.
