The rapper takes issue with the former Disney star's skits at the Sunday, August 30 event as well as her dreadlocks and the usage of the words 'mammy'.

AceShowbiz - Chance The Rapper has a few things to say about Miley Cyrus' MTV Video Music Award hosting gig. The rapper called out the controversial singer in a string of Twitter post he shared during the show on Sunday night, August 30 for what he considered cultural appropriation.

Chance first suggested that he's not a fan of Miley's skits before criticizing the fake dreadlocks she rocked at the awards event. He was also unhappy with the fact that the 22-year-old star used the word "mammy" while introducing a sketch that featured her grandmother and Snoop Dogg.

"I think shorty said 'my real mammy,' " Chance wrote before showing Miley how offensive the word is by posting several pictures of black women.

Chance wasn't the only one who took issue with Miley's look and the use of the word "mammy." A number of other Twitter users also criticized the former Disney princess on the micro-blogging site. One user said, "Soooo @MTV does anti-racism PSAs but lets white girls wear dreads, say 'mammy', and make police brutality jokes?"

"Miley Cyrus berated Nicki for speaking out on issues that affect black women in the music industry,& is also wearing dreads rn. The audacity," another user agreed. Another added, "Miley Cyrus isn't slick for trying to drag Nicki Minaj for her views about BW in the industry but then shows up to host in DREADS."
