According to Steve Molaro, the seventh installment of the 'Star Wars' film series will make its presence felt in the upcoming ninth season of the CBS popular TV series.

AceShowbiz - "The Big Bang Theory" will feature a storyline about "Star Wars: The Force Awakens", executive producer Steve Molaro tells TVLine. However, it doesn't seem as though the writers are sure how to make "The Force Awakens" make its presence felt in the series just yet.

"We're talking about how that will be weaved into [the guys'] lives," Steve tells the site of the J.J. Abrams-helmed flick, which will hit U.S. theaters on December 16. "And we have some really cool ideas." According to Steve, "it would be weird for us not to mention [The Force Awakens]" as Sheldon [Jim Parsons], Leonard [Johnny Galecki], Howard [Simon Helberg] and Raj [Kunal Nayyar] have many references to the franchise over the years.

The executive producer adds, "Obviously, we're all excited about it, just as human beings - and the characters are as well. I don't know exactly how it's going to play in, but it won't be ignored."

"The Big Bang Theory" season 9 will premiere on Monday, September 21 at 8:00 P.M. on CBS before moving to its regular time period on Thursday, November 5 at 8:00 P.M.
