Movie

The 'Fantastic Four' actor is set to take one of the lead roles in the vampire movie which is based on Dark Horse comic books of the same name.

AceShowbiz - After playing Human Torch in epic flop "The Fantastic Four", Michael B. Jordan gets another chance to star in a comic book movie. According to The Tracking Board, Jordan is in negotiations to take a lead role in MGM's vampire comedy "Blood Brothers (2017)".

The 28-year-old actor will play Tree, one of the key leads in the movie which follows two vampire best friends whose relationship enters a crisis. "Blood Brothers" is based on Dark Horse comic series of the same name written by Mike Gagerman and Andrew Waller.

According to the synopsis of the comic books, "after a century of friendship, smoking opium with Genghis Khan and having orgies in Michelangelo's studio, two inseparable vampire buddies are on the verge of splitting up. Terrible timing, as an apocalypse-obsessed villain is plotting an end to humanity. Looks like Nick and Tree, immortal best buds getting by as bail bondsmen, are humanity's last hope."

"Men in Black 3" scribe Etan Cohen joins Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly as screenwriter. However, sources say that the studio is looking for a new writer/director for the project. "Blood Brother" is expected to hit U.S. theaters in 2017.

Jordan will next be seen in boxing drama "Creed", which reunites him with "Fruitvale Station" director Ryan Coogler. He also recently signed up for "Just Mercy", a drama from "Short Term 12" helmer Destin Cretton.
