Police officers show up after a grumpy neighbor in the rich East Hamptons neighbourhood of New York complained about the Seinfelds' charity lemonade sale.

AceShowbiz - Jerry Seinfeld's family lemonade stand was closed by police recently. The 61-year-old comedian and his wife, Jessica, couldn't help but made fun of the cops for shutting down their little beverage sale which was set actually up to raise funds for her charity that helps families in need.

Jessica posted on Instagram a picture of her husband and their kids putting their hands behind their heads while a police cruiser was parked in the background. She said, "Lemonade dreams crushed by local neighbor but not before raising lots of money for @loverecycled."

The lemonade stand was set up in the rich East Hamptons neighbourhood of New York with the help from the couple's sons and the kids' friends. "Thanks to all of our customers and big tippers! 🙋🏼🙌🏾 thanks Xander and Jaden for crushing it today with Julian and Jerry," Jessica wrote.

She also posted articles about the incident with caption in one of them, "Our outlaw lemonade stand made the newspaper." The articles said the cops received a complaint from neighbors about illegally parked vehicles near the stand and had to put a stop to it because the family was violating the neighborhood's code that prohibits all types of "peddling."

It's not the first time the Seinfelds sold lemonade for charity. However, there was no mention of complaint or drama as Jessice posted a picture from the little fundraiser from several weeks back. In fact, she wrote, "It's a sell out....Proceeds go to Babybuggy.org @loverecycled #fatherhoodprogram."
