Tyler Bates Returns to Score 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2'

The 38-year-old music producer is the second composer to return for an MCU direct sequel after Henry Jackman who scored two 'Captain America' movies.

AceShowbiz - Tyler Bates is back to score "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2", according to Collider. Tyler is the second composer to return for an Marvel Cinematic Universe direct sequel, following Henry Jackman who scored two MCU movies "Captain America: Winter Soldier" and "Captain America: Civil War".

James Gunn previously had Tyler write some score of "Guardians of the Galaxy" before the cast and crew finished filming so he could shot scenes set to the music. It's possible the 38-year-old composer may go through a similar process in the sequel.

This will be Tyler's fourth collaboration with James as the duo previously worked together in "Slither" and "Super". Tyler is also well known for collaborating with "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" helmer Zack Snyder, scoring scored "300", "Dawn of the Dead" and "Sucker Punch".

Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper will begin filming "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" in February 2016 in Atlanta. The film is due May 5, 2017 Stateside.
