The former 'Tonight Show' host is set to guest star on Tim Allen's sitcom as a car aficionado.

AceShowbiz - Jay Leno has booked a new TV gig on broadcast network, more than a year after he resigned as the host of NBC's "The Tonight Show". The comedian will guest star in upcoming season 5 of Tim Allen's comedy "Last Man Standing".

On the ABC sitcom, Leno will portray a car aficionado, which is so close to his real life, but he's not playing himself. In the episode, Vanessa (Nancy Travis) buys a car from Leno's character as a present for her husband Mike (Allen). Since then, Leno's character keeps showing up to talk about cars and hang out.

Leno, who is known for his love of classic cars, is going to host a new series, "Jay Leno's Garage", set to premiere Wednesday, October 7 at 10 P.M. ET on CNBC. The 65-year-old has previously appeared on several TV shows such as "Louie", "Entourage", "Scrubs" and "The West Wing".

"Last Man Standing" will return with the fifth season Friday, September 25 at 8 P.M. ET on ABC.
