Newcomer Michelle Veintimilla will appear as a female version of the firestarter in two episodes of season 2.

AceShowbiz - "Gotham" welcomes another DC Comics supervillain in season 2. The Batman prequel series has found its Firely, but in a gender twist, the character will be depicted as a female instead of a male as fans have known in the comic books.

TVLine reports that newcomer Michelle Veintimilla, who had a role in 2014's movie "Not Cool" and appeared on Lifetime's "Those Who Kill", will play the infamous firestarter a.k.a. Bridgit Pike. She will appear in the fifth and sixth episodes of season 2 set to air in late fall.

The official description of Firely reads, "Enslaed by her brothers, a notorious gang of arsonists, Bridgit Pike is forced into the family business. When she catches the eye of Selina Kyle, the young Cat Woman and the soon-to-be-Firely team up to put Bridgit's firestarting skills to good use. But after a deadly encounter with the Pike Brothers, the meek Cinderella is transformed into a vengeful supervillain, hell bent on destroying those who have wronged her."

Previously, the show has cast Leo Fitzpatrick as Joe Pike, the leader of the Pike Brothers. Other new villains in the upcoming season include Theo Galvan (James Frain), his sister Tabitha a.k.a. Tigress (Jessica Lucas) and cannibal Robert Greenwood (Dustin Ybarra).

"Gotham" returns with its new season Monday, September 21 at 8/7c on FOX.
