The former 'Saturday Night Live' is making a comeback in the third episode after the 'Wrecking Ball' singer and the 'Inside Amy Schumer' star helm the first and second episodes respectively.

AceShowbiz - The first hosts for the upcoming season of "Saturday Night Live" are announced. Tracy Morgan will host the NBC sketch show on October 17, Miley Cyrus is picked to kick off the new season on October 3, while Amy Schumer takes it over the following week on October 10.

"Stoked to be going home...#SNL," tweeted Morgan who was once an "SNL" regular. Schumer is equally excited as she wrote, "I'm hosting SNL October 10th!!! I've been working on ideas for a long time and consulting with my people." Miley re-tweeted the official "SNL" announcement.

Morgan was a cast member on the late-night show from 1996 to 2003. He returned as a host in 2009. The upcoming gig will mark his official return to comedy since he was involved in a horrific car accident that killed his friend James "Jimmy Mack" McNair, although he has appeared on television several times since his recovery.

Meanwhile, it will be Miley's third time as an "SNL" host. The former Disney star who is hosting this year's MTV Video Music Awards first hosted the show in 2011 and then returned in 2013. For Comedy Central comedienne Schumer, it will become her SNL hosting debut.
