AceShowbiz - Woody is going to find love in "Toy Story 4". During a visit to D23 Expo, Pixar creative head John Lasseter who will serve behind the lens for the upcoming fourth film revealed to CNBC, "It's a love story with Woody and - and this is news - Bo Peep."
The executive added, "At Pixar and at Disney, we only make sequels if we come up with a story that's as good or better than the original. That's our rule. We don't do things just to print money."
Bo Peep is a nursery-rhyme porcelain figurine. She was voiced by Annie Potts while Woody the cowboy pull-string doll was voiced by Tom Hanks. The franchise also features Tim Allen's Buzz Lightyear and Don Rickles' Mr. Potato Head among other fan-favorite characters.
The fourth film is planned for June 16, 2017. Pixar's head Jim Morris previously teased that the movie would be a romantic comedy, not a sequel to "Toy Story 3". "This movie is not part of this trilogy. It is a separate story," he explained. "It will not put much focus on the interaction between the characters and children."
